Compass and Dart Sass #2107

It was just announced that Ruby Sass will stop being maintained by the core Sass team in the next year. Since Compass currently runs on Ruby exclusively, will there be any plans to port it to Dart or Node?

Otherwise it looks like Compass will die with Ruby Sass.

Eyeglass seems to be the closest thing to Compass on Node. Perhaps more attention should be put into that existing project so that it can be brought up to parity with Compass. This would give long time Compass users a path forward.

Compass is already end-of-life and un-maintained. If a new maintainer wants to port it, they would be welcome to.
