Although detection and visualization of clusters in multidimensional space could be implemented by different powerful algorithms, I am wondering what is the standard performance metrics or procedures to access clustering accuracy? Would there be any spatial dependence of words, meaning words close to words that cluster also exhibit clustering pattern?
