Quelqu'un devrait s'occuper de vérifier la possibilité de travailler avec ce groupe, mais aucune responsabilité n'a été distribuée à la réunion. Un volontaire? @KevCaz @remi-daigle @Monsauce @nicolasfstgelais @pomontiglio @tpoisot @DominiqueGravel @david-beauchesne

Don't all jump in at once... I'll do it!

remi-daigle commented 6 years ago

The answer is 'possibly', but we would have to apply for one of their grants "We award small grants for project sprints, support of project infrastructure, project development time and diversity initiatives. Requests should directly impact a sponsored or affiliated project or the NumFOCUS community as a whole." and/or contact them for "Scholarship Funds for Scientific Computing Events".

More details on both possibilities here:https://www.numfocus.org/programs/grants-sponsored-events/

I think we should pursue both options, and if so who wants to proof read or help write the grant application (small google form) and the scholarship request (email)?

Hey @remi-daigle! Sorry for the time it took to reply! I volunteer to help on this, with @KevCaz also being voluntold. Did you make any progress on this, or should we have a chat about it?

remi-daigle commented 6 years ago

Oops! No I haven't started this, I thought to myself I'll start when someone replies...

Do we have a basic description of the conference written somewhere yet?

david-beauchesne commented 6 years ago

So far the only document we have is last meeting's notes. We could with them to describe the event a bit more formally.
