This pull request adjusts the makefiles so that:

the default compiler (defined by the environment variable $CXX is used) This allows using both gcc and intel compilers.
removes the unneeded libraries for zip compression and openMP which causes warnings in icc reported by @QJohn2017 in #89

This automatically includes the change @belfhi included for Maxwell.

@belfhi After loading your module file for Maxwell #100, is there a $CXX defined?

works great on hypnos - I should test various compiler versions
