Discrete spectrum from nonlinear Thomson scattering #108

Hi, Firstly thank you for the useful code. I have run clara2 to reproduce the spectrum from nonlinear Thomson scattering of a relativistically moving electron with the same setting of the article How to test and verify radiation diagnostics simulations within particle-in-cell frameworks. However, as shown in the following picture, the spectrum I obtained was discrete in frequency axis and theta axis. In my opinion, the oscillated gamma of electron should widen the spectrum. Can you help me to solve the problem? Thanks again! contrast

I have studied the solution in issue #106 . With the help of zero padding, the result now seems to be reasonable as shown in the following figure. a_1 0right

Hi @shouyr, welcome to the Clara2 repository. Great that the solution in issue #106 solved your problem. Please excuse my late reply - I was extremely busy the last month and did not check GitHub. Hopefully this will change now and will spend more time in improving this code and reacting much quicker to questions.

So if you encounter further problems, feel free open another issue.
