Test right now are a bit hard-coded in the specific "travis" style.

We should refactor them a little, add doc strings (#154) and allow them to be executed directly after the make step without too much effort.

[x] some script copies already added with #153 - check again for (nasty) in-source builds
[x] check for python, h5py and numpy

Since #153 several h5py/numpy compatible tests have been added.
