As soon as openPMD-api 2.0 is out, we should rework all plugins that use non-equidistant/non-spatial axis. We currently work around the limitations of openPMD by having an index axis instead of a real physical axis.

shadowgraphy and CTR(?) plugin by @finnolec
radiation by @PrometheusPi
perhaps: phase space plugin (is equidistant by one axis is non-spatial)
