Antialiasing support in Glitch64 #27

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 8 years ago
A request from end users for application-level anti-aliasing is requested.
Requires a rewrite of the FBO HWFBE emulation code.

Could the AA be added for everything but HWFBE? On voodoos AA is not applied to
texture frame buffers (HWFBE), because the hardware does not support it.

Modern cards also have the same issues.

This is changed in OpenGL 2.1 with the ogl_framebuffer_blit/object_multisample
extensions though. With Direct3D9, there is similar limitations, but there is
workarounds for that.

So, basically, its the same issues. Personally I haven't tried it rhough with
OGL,
since I started mainly using Direct3D9/11.
