Correct version number should be used throughout the documentation #83

In the documentation for 1.4.1 I found references to old releases where they should refer to the current release, and references in the form of "take your pick", specifically (and out of context):

http://www.conpaas.eu/dl/cpsdirector-1.3.2.tar.gz cpslib-1.3.2.tar.gz http://www.conpaas.eu/dl/cpsfrontend-1.x.x.tar.gz http://www.conpaas.eu/dl/cpsclient-1.x.x.tar.gz

It should be possible, when creating the release tarballs, to insert the correct version number automatically. I tried to do that before, using the available tools for rst type files. You can specify the version number, but when you need it in a hyperlink like the URLs above, the link does not come out correctly in the online documentation and PDF. I have been looking around (before we started using git), and asked questions on a few forums, but did not find/get useful answers, so I left the issue and worked on things with higher priotity.

As long as this cannot be solved correctly, I prefer 1.x.x over any old release number.

I agree, I changed all version numbers to 1.x.x (commit 0f5d21c), at least for the time being.
