Reported to Trove as a bug, user-added characters are not included in the API output

what are these "user added characters"?

user-added categories (not characters, silly me)!

If you look at the category facet with Newspapers and Gazettes, it's anything that doesn't start with Government Gazette, and is not Article; Advertising; Detailed Lists, Results and Guides or Family Notices
