Extraneous spaces appear around underlined text #34

We have used underlinings in the transcriptions; but they are not displayed, and as it is an important element. they should be. For an example see http://vmcp.conaltuohy.com/xtf/view?docId=tei/1880-9/1886/86-07-02-final.xml in which the office held by the claimant and the place of his employment. was underlined.

My Friday e-mail about this didn't finish up here.

The relevant part was there remain issues with the underlining.

The test file 00.00.00test in the quarantine folder is the rendering of a file which in Word looks like this: Screenshot 2021-02-19 at 15.13.pdf

You will see at http://vmcp.conaltuohy.com/xtf/view?docId=tei/Mueller+letters/Quarantine+folder+for+problem+files/00.00.00test.xml

that extraneous spaces are introduced in a number of these instances. It is disconcerting to see these, to say the least.

Can you tweak the conversion to remove extraneous spaces
