Cis 2 check up #211

Purpose

Go over the whole CIS-2 Implementation, update with the changes from the main branch. Make sure everything is working fine, refactor if needed.

This should be done by actually merging in the main branch though. It's fine to do that afterwards, but this way may be more complicated because it introduces merge conflicts for the same changes.
