Registration Error - connection through proxy server #206

I am a new user to trends.earth. I have problem in registering with trends.earth. All my attempts to register returned back with error message "unable to log into trends.earth server. Check your internet connection". This error message keeps coming up even when my computer is connected to the internet. Please I need your assistant

I am having the same problem today, when trying to run the tool: "Unable to login to Trends.Earth server. Check your internet connection." As Agwu, I am connected to internet. Thank you

Same problem, inspite of internet working, it is showing the error-"Unable to login to Trends.Earth server. Check your internet connection". I also tried the uninstalling and reinstalling, also used new ip address-another laptop, change in region, everywhere same issue. Please help.

Excellent - sorry for the problem. There was a server error that should now be fixed. Let us know if you still see this issue.

The server connection error is still there. I just tried it and it is not connecting and l cannot register with trends.earth

If you are still seeing this it sounds like a different issue than the server error we fixed this morning - can you send me the output trends.earth log messages panel panel after you try to register so I can look at this? I just need the last 15-20 lines or so. To get there go to "View" -> "Panels" -> "Log Messages Panel" and then click the trends.earth tab on the log message viewer.

Thanks. It looks like there an issue with the connection between your machine and our server. Do you know if you are behind a firewall? Or if you are using a proxy server?

Thanks for considering my request and making suggestions. Gladly I successfully registered last night. I was using a proxy server but after unchecking it I was able to connect to Trends.Earth server

Glad it is now working! We'll be making some modifications to avoid issues when connecting through proxy servers - I'll leave this open until those changes are implemented.

Hi I am having a problem while registering trends.earth. I've added mail ID and it is not sending the password to my mail. Can anyone tell me why s this happening? Thank you.

@AravindSathya - have you checked your spam folder? Sometimes the password will end up there.

Hi Community,

I am unable to register through QGIS trend.earth plugin. I am getting the same error as others are getting.

"Unable to login to Trends.Earth server. Check your internet connection."

@nitinsdg - a server went down on Tuesday night but has since been fixed. Let us know if you still see any issues, as it should now be working fine
