Retirement date for Get Generic Plan Detail v2 and Get Energy Account Detail v3 #640

Open CDR-API-Stream opened 2 months ago

CDR-API-Stream commented 2 months ago

Description

New versions of Get Generic Plan Detail (v3) and Get Energy Account Detail (v4) APIs were introduced in v1.30.0 based on changes that were consulted in MI 18. The retirement date for old versions (i.e. v2 and v3 respectively) has been set to September 8th 2025.

Intention and Value of Change

Typical retirement date for API is 3 months from a new version being implemented. The current retirement date for the above APIs is 12 months and Data Holders may not want to provide support for it for that duration.

Area Affected

Describe the area of the standard that is proposed to be amended. This could be one or more API end points or a specific section of the information security profile.

Change Proposed

Consider setting the retirement date for Get Generic Plan Detail v2 and Get Energy Account Detail v3 for 3 months after obligation date for new versions, for e.g. March 3rd 2025.

DSB Proposed Solution

The proposed solution can be found in https://github.com/ConsumerDataStandardsAustralia/standards-maintenance/issues/640#issuecomment-2146524552

As discussed in the previous MI calls, the DSB is proposing to change the retirement date for Get Generic Plan Detail v2 and Get Energy Account Detail v3 to March 3rd 2025, which will be 3 months after obligation date for new versions.

Feedback on the above is welcome.
