Decided on 4 Ubuntu OpenStack VM's with Apache Spark and Scala. Real-time processing: yes Storage: HDFS Ad-hoc network: Not at this moment Run on mobile devices: Not at this moment

Using Java 8 instead of Scala. Not using HDFS.
