interesting...i like the openness of the open source license (http://choosealicense.com/licenses/osl-3.0/) and the brevity of the MIT license (link above).

my one hesitation with the open source license is that it grants others the right to patent our work, which seems troubling (e.g. i don't want us to have to pay others to use our own work). the MIT license seems more "sane" in that regard.

does anyone have a strong preference? i vote for the MIT license, all else being equal.
