Check if blurring to many locations same as blurring to just a subset of those locations.
Test:
observed locations: 1,2,3,4
blur correlation to locations 1 - 10
use 2,3,4 to reconstruct 1
or
use all other locations as well as 2,3,4 to reconstruct at location 1
does that change the answer?
