Anaconda3-2020.02-Windows-x86_64.exe Anaconda-navigator -- version 1.9.12 conda --version 4.8.2 anaconda --version 1.7.2 win10 64 1909
Me too. It is hung at the above logo. OS: Linux Mint 19.3 I get this at the command line:
(base) melvin@melvin-home-pc ~ $ anaconda-navigator

I solved this by adding my OS ID to vscode.py, at /home/melvin/anaconda3/lib/python3.7/site-packages/anaconda_navigator/api/external_apps/vscode.py Lines 23 to 33:
# minimum supported linux distro versions
distro_map = {
'rhel': '7',
'sles': '12',
'centos': '7',
'debian': '8',
'fedora': '23',
'suse': '42.1',
'ubuntu': '14.04',
'linuxmint': '19'
}
Did anyone do this? Did you face any further issues?
I believe this was fixed in the latest released build/version of Anaconda-Navigator. Which version & build of anaconda-navigator do you have installed?
This currently works, issue can be closed.
anaconda-navigator --version
2.5.1
conda --version
2023.10.0
Actual Behavior
OS: Linux Mint Tricia installed anaconda using Anaconda3-2020.02-Linux-x86_64.sh
After that typed the command anaconda-navigator It was trying to open the anaconda-navigator, but just got sa blank small square in the middle of the screen and it was not going anywhere.
Also tried conda update anaconda-navigator (from https://github.com/ContinuumIO/anaconda-issues/issues/11635). It did not work.
Expected Behavior
Should get the anaconda-navigator GUI window
Steps to Reproduce
Anaconda or Miniconda version:
anaconda-navigator --version 1.9.12
conda --version 4.8.2
anaconda --version anaconda Command line client (version 1.7.2)
Operating System:
Linux Mint 19.3 Tricia
conda info
conda list --show-channel-urls
