So what is the process then to work with rasterio (wichever version) in a python 3.8 env without downgrading Python or creating a new env?
Is there a solution to this yet, for Python v3.8 or higher?
rasterio 1.2.10
with python 3.7-3.10 support should now be available on defaults.
Please report us if the issue persists.
Actual Behavior
Rasterio is a Python package based on GDAL. There is no issue installing this in a new environment with Python 3.7 or earlier (tested on Windows and Linux), as these packages are widely available. However,
rasterio
is not available for Python 3.8 or later, thus there are conflicts with attempts to install it on Windows or Linux. This issue is migrated from https://github.com/conda/conda/issues/10336
Expected Behavior
It is expected that the environment should be cleanly solved similar to (e.g.) Python 3.7 on Windows:
Steps to Reproduce
Anaconda or Miniconda version:
Not sure (I don't keep installer files).
Operating System:
conda info
conda list --show-channel-urls
