@bendkok Could you please try explicitly update conda
:
conda install conda=24.3.0
The version of urllib3
is incompatible for some reason but conda
in your environment is outdated. I wonder if updating conda
will fix the issue. Let us know if the issue persists.

Hi. That did not work, it won't even start to update. Here's the output:

An unexpected error has occurred. Conda has prepared the above report.
Upload did not complete.
I deleted and reinstalled the latest version of Anaconda (https://www.anaconda.com/download/success). Everything seems to be working now.

What happened?
I tried updating Anaconda using
conda update conda
. The update failed. I don't remember exactly why it failed, and I restarted my computer afterwards (to see if it would resolve the issue), so I do not have the error-message. Spyder was open in the background, in case that is relevant. Now my Conda installation is broken. Many of the commands do not work, including
conda update
andconda install
. You can see the error messages in the Additional information field. Spyder won't launch, and the Outline, tooltips and such in VSCode don't work (not sure if that is related). Regular Python works through the console though. At the top of most commands is
Error loading anaconda_anon_usage: No module named 'anaconda_anon_usage'
. I tried runningconda update anaconda_anon_usage
andconda install anaconda_anon_usage
, but they just produce the same error. Same withurllib3._base_connection
, which is mentioned in the error-message.Any help would be appreciated.
Expected behavior or outcome
For Conda and the packages to install/update normally. For Spyder to launch.
