Replace `elm-examples` repository #136

https://github.com/ContinuumIO/elm-examples has some example files for testing and demo, but requires git lfs (Large File Storage) and is thus a barrier to getting started with elm. Change the usage of example data to have a downloader tool directly from NASA sources for several files, rather than relying on git LFS.

The assets have been moved. elm-examples has been cloned, zipped and archived before deleting the repo. Documentation references to elm-examples have been removed. Closing this issue.
