Zero tabs state #63

One of the things I find awkward in Fenix is how it allows you to have "zero tabs" – it shows a zero in the number of tabs indicator and a blank screen but it still allows you to enter a URL at which point a new tab opens to that URL. It may seem like a small thing but it feels awkward to not have some indicator of what tab I am in when I am entering a URL! In SmartCookieWeb-Preview the interface doesn't really respond properly in the zero tab state, at least with how my settings are, it shows frozen remnants of the last closed tab but things don't really work properly until I enter a URL or open a new tab. So the question is, do you intend to keep the zero tab page, and if so, what is its purpose compared with the new tab page, or will you make it like most other desktop and mobile browsers where closing the last tab either closes the browser or just leaves open a blank tab?

I do agree that the fact you can have no tabs isn't very intuitive. I plan to change the homepage system so the homepage, whether you have the homepage set as a blank page or the default, acts like a tab, and the browser closes when all tabs are closed.

Thanks, that is good news! You can close this since it answers my concern or keep it open for tracking, whatever works for you.
