[Feature] Please change homepage and tab switcher styles #211

I'm probably going to keep the tab switcher as it is, because lots of people switched from Lightning Browser to this browser due to the same tab system, and I think it sets the browser apart from others, but I understand that some people might not like it so I'm open to adding customization to allow custom tab drawer styles.

Do you have any ideas about how the homepage could be improved? I'm planning to add support for more shortcuts, but beyond that I can't really think of anything I could do to improve it.

I would really love custom tab switcher option. You should make home page much like microsoft edge homepage [clean and polished interface] with news feed.

@CookieJarApps Please let anything else be optional because I really like the homepage and tab switcher, these two parts of the app are very simple, practical and efficient which in my opinion is really great. I'm sure some things can be improved (like adding an option to add more shortcuts to the homepage, maybe add a horizontal gesture (drag to right/left) to remove a tab in the tab switcher, etc.), but these options are currently also great (in my opinion, of course).

@RickyM7 I disagree with you at least in the case of homepage, it gives feeling of a old and ancient time browsers [for reference purpose].

@imrohitkumar No problem, as I said that's just my opinion (I like simplicity and practicality).

My idea is to possibly have 3 homepage styles - default (the current style), focused (time, weather and shortcuts) and informative (news). I haven't 100% decided how the new 2 would look, but I'm working on some design mockups and I'll send them here later today.

Sorry for intruding but I would like to give my opinion on these designs. I really liked all the variants, especially variants 2 and 3 because they are simpler, something I like a lot. I think variant 2 has too much empty space, maybe you could put the search bar a little higher up along with the shortcuts and enable the option to add more shortcuts as well (like you have in variant 3). In variants 2 and 4 I think the weather widget should be centered instead of a little to the corner as in the images. In variants 4 and 5, the news part looks a bit strange to me, but I can't explain why, but it still looks very good.

I liked the 4th and 5th design. That's exactly what i want to get, A homepage with newsfeed.

I changed the news section design a bit and I think it looks better now - the only thing I'm not 100% sure about is how the image at the top of the cards looks, but in theory now I'll start adding the new homepage options for v13.

The Variant 2 v2 is perfect in my opinion. In my opinion just missing a retouch in the news section for the Variant 4 v2 to be perfect. About the news section, what was causing me discomfort was apparently two things:

  1. There was no division between the news (in variant 4 v2 there is a division between the news and this was great)
  2. The news was very small (I think you leave the image of the news on the left as it was before but increase the size of this image and consequently the news, this will be perfect).
