Suggestion To Edit Bookmarks #214

Closed ghost closed 3 years ago

ghost commented 3 years ago

Thanks for this app that is ad free. I would like to suggest to make a section to edit bookmarks. I just spent a few minutes trying to figure out how to delete the "DuckDuckGo" bookmark. I probably can't do it again if I tried. Thanks for continuing to improve this very needed open source app.

Thanks for the suggestion - yeah, the bookmark editing system could do with a bit of work. You used to have to hold on the bookmark, but now it's tapping the icon, since I'll eventually add bookmark drag and drop. I'll either add a message in the onboarding about how to access the bookmark edit section, or I'll make the drawers a bit wider and addd an edit button in the extra space.

Great! Looking forward to seeing this in future updates.

@CookieJarApps you could probably make the drawers fullscreen, like a real page "bookmarks"

I plan to keep the drawers, but I might widen them slightly and then add overflow menus to tabs and bookmarks so it's more obvious that there are actions relating to them.

Of course, I don't mean you should remove drawers, I just wanted to say that you could widen them to the full screen

Sorry, I didn't explain well - I mean that I'd rather keep some space on either side where you can see the page you're on and can easily exit with one tap, rather than making it a full-screen page.

Fulguris does have full screen drawers by default. There is also an option to use bottom sheets instead.

@Slion

full screen drawers by default.

These are not exactly drawers because you can't close them with swipe. It's rather just a page that opens with slide animation. Edit: sorry, there is an option for that. Thanks for pointing out a well-made browser, by the way!
