[Bug] Login Information cannot be saved #273

Describe the bug

Logging in to a web site and exiting does not save the login cookies/info (not auto fill) on next browser start

To Reproduce

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'Login to a web site (all the relevant options have been Enabled/Disable Accept cookies Enabled,and Clear Cookies Disabled'
  2. 'Exit Browser'
  3. Reopen the browser App and enter said web page trough bookmarks
  4. You are logged out of webpage

Expected behavior

Web page you have previously logged in should stay logged in even after you exit the browser

Additional context

I had same problem in some websites but i could fix it in some of them.

  1. In one website i forced to disable clear cookies + clear webstorage

  2. In another website, i forced to disable all clear options (clear cache + clear webstorage + clear cookies)

  3. And in another website i forced to do all actions i did in number 2 + also disable "block third party cookies" option.

May be try these solutions one by one and see if they fix your problem?

Gor example github completely is ok with clearing webstorage and cache and having block third party cookies enabled but some websites needs changing this options.

So i think please test solution 1 to 3 i wrote above and see if they fix your problem? Because most of websites fixed with these solutions.

thx for the info but i think this should be unnecessary to get a app to save login info. for now i will wait for a new version and see what happens

Do you have any of the 'clear data on app exit' privacy settings enabled?

just cache is selected,i tried restarting the phone,reinstalling the app etc. the weird thing is that same happened with lightning browser,but once reinstalling that browser everything was ok,on that browser i always select to clear everything except cookies so i do not get logged out,on this one that does not work,no matter what is or is not selected.
