[Steam Version] Game stops running in the background #952

Whether i minimize or alt+tab, the game stops running after like 20 secs. I tried using a timer just to confirm, i was looking at the bottom bar which had exactly 20 minutes left to buy a building, i put the timer on 2 minutes and after i came back the 20 minutes had become 19:28. I also tried disabling the mod and the game was running fine.

it just goes into the background and i think cookie monster just treats it weird when it goes in the background but it should be the correct value after a bit, at least thats what i see (i am also using the steam version with cookie monster)

not for me, after the game gets focus the cookies just go up from when it got stuck. (like, if i minimize it when i had 1m cookies and the game gets stuck at 2m, when i maximize it back up the number just goes up from the 2m, not how much it would normally have. i have test this over and over again.

a way out of this is if i have my browser NOT maximized and have the game not minimized, it works fine. so i just have manually sized my browser to be as big as it can without being maximized

I currently don't have the Steam version myself so I can't really investigate this. The workaround is good to now!

Turn off sleep mode in the base game settings.

actually after a bit i noticed this is happening to me as well. i have sleep mode off but it still goes into sleep mode even though it is off. only way to solve it is to have part of it go under my taskbar so that it keeps rendering but if i open an app thats fullscreen theres no preventing it from going in sleep mode after a few minutes. isnt it supposed to do offline cps calculation on sleep mode? because it doesnt, at least for me.

I have been having this error as well, but for me, timing isn't as string as the first guy said. it normally goes into sleep mode a little bit after I don't respond to the first golden cookie alert.

Same issue here. Game slow dows for me after like 2 minutes working in the background. And then for every like 1 real time minute, time in the game passes for only 5 seconds. It's just laggy for whatever reason.

If I disable the mod, the game doesn't slow down at all, it keeps producing cookies normally.
