Stuck on loading screen #40

Basically the same problem as #1. Also I had some old savegame, which I tried playing. I was in the dorm room and everything works fine until I try to leave the dorm because it gets stuck on the loading screen.

That sounds very different and I actually may have an idea on what is happening, since GTA's have a similar bug I fixed.

What you can try to do to verify that this is indeed the same bug is set CPU Affinity of Bully's executable to just one CPU. You can do this from Task Manager.

I did as you said and the same thing happens.

Is there any way for you to provide a full memory dump from the game when it's frozen? Again you can do it from Task Manager, and those are huge, although they compress very well.

I see exactly where you are deadlocking (audio streaming), but sadly no idea what to do with it since I never had it.

I have pretty much only one idea - I noticed you have Avast, you can try excluding Bully and/or its directory from scanning.

Tried that and it didn't work out so I guess I'm screwed :( Just wondering why I'm having such a problem because when I last played a year ago, everything was working fine, didn't even need the mod. I have the exact same setup, so nothing much should have changed.

This is pretty much the main reason this game is so problematic - everybody has a different range of issues and in most cases I cannot reliably fix them until I find a way to reproduce them 😕
