The game does not run #1

This patch does not work with the jack sparrow version of the game. When applied, nothing happens.

It's impossible to know what has been done to said version, maybe it's not even a Steam version of the game, it's unpatched, or it has been tampered with. If it doesn't work, there's nothing I can do about it.

Update: Just in case, I asked for the patch to be checked for compatibility with the recently released GOG.com version and it works just fine. Therefore, it seems like issue lies in whatever changes were made to the version of the game you're using.
