Looks like the "ALSA sync_ptr1:139 SNDRV_PCM_IOCTL_SYNC_PTR failed (-19)" error
comes from alsa - suggest googling for this as its possibly some happening in
the alsa layer.

You could try running squeezelite without mmap: -a :::0 as this make use a
different path through the alsa code.

Thanks !

I've tried -a :::0 but no cigar ...

Weird stuff ... it is working now for over 12 hours ... getting rid of the USB
hub seems to prevent the error ... Iĺl replace the hub to see what happens ;)

Yep, the USB hub is the one to be blamed ... itś running now for 24 hours
straight with no flaws ;-)
