Clothing - Implement after Alpha Release #14

The following is how I think clothing should be added. Craft a loom (this is crafted with fence in a ladder pattern). Then place the loom in the world, and place string or wool into it. This will create 1 cloth for every 8 string, or 1 cloth for every 1 wool. You can then dye the cloth any color you like. Craft clothing by placing cloth in the crafting table in armor patterns. The clothing will be colored according to the color of cloth placed in the table. You can then place your clothing in the special clothing slots, and it will override the in game armor textures. Armor is no longer ugly, and you can hide your armor from other players.

Alternatively, you don't have to put in the loom, just use a crafting table for those recipes. I just thought it would be a cool object to add some realism. Not that minecraft is realistic at all...

one problem that is avoidable but annoying is that wool is called cloth in the code. again it is avoidable but still annoying.

Who are you Silver?

Also, whenever I see "silverwolf" I think of a friend I used to know that moved.

And as mushroom said, it isnt really a problem at all. A lot of stuff in minecraft is called that. Like redstone repeaters are called diodes.

Also, I am actually not too busy anymore so I may be able to help with the code now.

@Silverwolf45 There's no need now as we are finished on the initial release, just waiting for some textures

MadmanSilver-zz commented 10 years ago

Ok, I don't mind.
