[NEW TOOL] Extending the "Text to NATO" spelling tool with other alphabets

What tool do you want? I would appreciate if the existing "Text to NATO"-tool can be extended using different spelling alphabets, e. g. for using the German one instead of the American spelling alphabet. This can be very useful for support requests with people from other countries than your own.
Additionally upper-/lowercase should be respected and ideally punctuation characters and numbers should be included as well.

Describe the solution you'd like Extend the existing one by adding a drop-down field/radio buttons where you can select the spelling alphabet to be used, e. g. the current English/American one.
Pasting e. g. "1 Awesome Tool!" would result in (numeral one) (space) Alpha whiskey echo sierra oscar mike echo (space) Tango oscar oscar lima (exclamation mark) (note, that only Alpha and Tango are uppercase) or, if the German one is selected, (Ziffer eins) (Leerzeichen) Aachen wuppertal essen salzwedel offenbach münchen essen (Leerzeichen) Tübingen offenbach offenbach leipzig (Ausrufezeichen).

Is their example of this tool in the wild? Something like the online tool here (which doesn't include numbers, punctuation marks, though, and doesn't respect the case). I've seen it at a commercial password manager, but probably can't include a screenshot here.

Additional context For support issues it would be very helpful if the case is respected. It would be especially useful if operating in or having to deal with users of a different country.

Sorry to ask, but as I'm eagerly expecting this functionality: what do I need to do to show up this feature in the next release? The implementation seems fine to me and it would help me a lot for spelling passwords etc. on the phone.

Edit: @sharevb : I just found a small issue. For the International and France entry, numbers are not transferred correctly. While for the other entries a string like 1 Aa+ is converted to (using e. g. Germany 2022) (1) (LEERZEICHEN) AACHEN aachen (+), we have the following for International (which is the ex-NATO-entry, I guess?): ONE (SPACE) ALFA alfa (+) and for the French: UN (ESPACE) ANATOLE anatole (+). I. e. the number should also just be put into parentheses: (1) (SPACE) ALFA alfa (+).

@CorentinTh : Anything I can do that this feature is considered for the next release?

@CorentinTh: Is there any possibility that I can speed up the progress to included this in a final build? I'm really using the spelling functionality a lot in my daily business and it would be immensely helpful for me, having such a tool at hand.

Hi @taffit, I added ONE for International and UN for French (as I am) because for me, it made me sense to make localization but may be it is better to let in parenthesis, I don't know. But by the way, any digit would need to be translated in any other language. As a French people, I really don't know if (1) is better than UN

Hello @sharevb, and thank you for answering (and sorry, yes, I edited the comment afterwards, my fault, I beg your pardon).

The reason for my remark is basically to distinguish between things to be spelled and digits and special characters. The ones using it in a language familiar to them may know that UN should be the digit (1), those who don't may think that the following character should be a U instead of the digit.
I don't know if this is understandable. Just to ensure, that people using it know that the following is not part of the spelling alphabet, but a digit or special character. For this, digits and special characters should be flagged somehow, e. g. using parentheses. Something like (UN) would also help to understand, that the digit 1 is meant.
