What exactly do you mean? The darkness value? If so, why not just make it a config like people have suggested on #522 ?

that adds a command to configure the rain and if not that adds a gui ez weather2 to configure the whole mod

The mod supports configured though. I don't think he will bring back ezgui but I guess we'll see.
