They suggested I ask you about a feature called repair block mode, and if it's in the 1.18 branch, as we're running 1.18.2. Parts of our world are starting to look a bit Fallout-esque, so we might be forced to disable block damage sooner than later if we can't figure out a solution to the deforestation issue, though I'd really like to avoid that because I think the feature is really cool.
