Weather deflectors not working in minecraft version 1.20.1 on mod version 2.7.7 #702

I am playing on create'a colony modpack with things not updated so the weather2 mod is still on 2.7.7 and tornadoes keep hitting my colony even though I have a weather deflector set up.
