These fixes should restore functionality to the app & clear up most currently open issues.
There were problems with the checksumming operations being performed in different ways within the backup, restore & differential merging functions, which would lead to failed restores.
Also, the diff merging routines did not take into consideration the new compression formats, thus were not working.
