We should have a collection of web quality images for use where we do not have others. This should be stuff like photos of the outside of academic buildings, labs, libraries, computers, books, data, Turing machines, cottages, etc.
It would be great if these could all be taken from flickr commons and other similar cc-by / open sources, then we could say on our site that is what we are using. But otherwise, if necessary, have a look on stock photo sales sites too, and bring up the price with the team.
