Dark mode button setting not configured properly #771

Describe the bug Dark mode button once configured is not set when reloading the page (accessing from other sites)

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Login to the Page
Click on dark mode button
Go to other hyperlinks
Go back to homepage
The dark mode is changed back to white mode (automatically)

Expected behavior Once a setting has been chosen, it should stay the same way (for both the light and the dark mode)
