What's the status of this project?

http://coursewa.re/ wants to be the wordpress.com for elearning, what does this mean for buddypress-courseware? Is there any active development going on for this project, or is it a dead project? (last updates ware a couple of months ago)

TL;DR

I'm struggling to get some free time for the project.

The long version: BuddyPress Courseware is and was always a one man show, and no matter how open and friendly I am to contributions, those simply don't come. It was always like this, a couple of months of inactivity after what a sprint follows. I would love to share some of the maintenance responsibilities very much, till then, I need to make some time to contribute.

Regarding Coursewa.re and BuddyPress Courseware relationship, if Coursewa.re gets well, BuddyPress Courseware will also get paid maintenance and support from Coursewa.re as an entity, but so far this is all just a big and a crazy venture.

I was under the impression that Coursewa.re began as a BuddyPress Courseware implementation, but later on, they started building a complete custom non-BuddyPress product?

I thought Boone was helping out on developing this a little bit, is he not?

Just to make it clear:

• Coursewa.re is a built-from-scratch project and it is not using BuddyPress at all
• The guys behind Coursewa.re are two friends of mine with me leading the project, so it's still us, but doing it differently because of the BuddyPress limitations
• @boonebgorges never promised to help, he was my GSoC mentor and he's a nice pal with nice projects :+1:

The BuddyPress Courseware version is not maintained by anyone at this moment.
