Support launching apps via key shortcuts? #123

It would be nice to be able to bind intents to keys or key combinations 
(including shortcuts as described in issue 121), so that pressing keys can 
launch applications or trigger specific actions.

An example would be having a key combination to launch a barcode scanner, and 
then inserting the scanned code or text based on the reply received from the 
launched app.
