GTX 970, GeForceSensors unknown chipset #255

I can't get my new Asus GTX970 Strix to be recognised by GPUSensors no matter what I do.

I'm running the latest version of FakeSMC on Yosemite, the card is recognised where it should be (name shows up under About Mac, etc) and has correct details under System Report - everything appears to be working fine, other than GeForceSensors.

In the system.log the only useful piece of information I can see is this line - GeForceSensors (pci2): [Fatal] unknown chipset, 0x124020a1 ..though obviously if you need to see more, there's plenty more I can post :)

Any ideas on how to get temp, fan and frequency info working for my card?

Same here, would love to see support for Maxwell/GTX 970

Another GTX 970 fan here. We'd really appreciate moar luv for Maxwell cards.

This is so easy to fix, it took me less than 5 minutes to add it to source code. You just pull the new case from nouveau, which for GK208 is 0x108 I just think kozlek is MIA :\

Looks like a fork that's currently better maintained at moment. This already supports maxwell, has for several months. Supports GK204 and GK208. Just, don't install it over THIS fakesmc/sensors, it will cause a lot of problems, it needs clean install and configuration. Probably easier to just stay on this version, but update the sensors in source and compile own version with know how.

Maybe Kozlek can pull some changes from slice, at very least, the geforce sensor updates. considering almost everyone is moving to 900 series cards these days.

See you merged some of the geforce stuff in. good. Now for 10.11 to get you busy!

Don't worry about fan rpm. hell that hasn't worked ever on 780 GK110b either. always reports 19rpm, forever and always. temps and frequency all that matters for most. I can open case to see if can is working :)

I would love to have support for 960 too....During those past days I'm getting crazy with some suspicious sudden shutdown and I really don't know if it's a protection of the CPU or GPU...waiting for next update. Thx
