On my both computers MBP and iMAC the HWMonitor app prevents native fan spin up resulting computer overheating. Before installation was fan spinning up normal as expected when computer heats up. After install the fans keep on the lowest rpm levels. I have standard install of hwsensors 6.14.1364 on my macs without FakeSMC installed. I have fixed it with installation of macs fan control app and set min/max temp values according to particular sensor readout. The fan controls in HWMonitor don't work too. I will completely remove HWMonitor from my system until fixed, but before I'm reporting here. I have mid2011 iMac and mid2012 MBP. Simply FAN will stay on the same level after you turn on/off fan control in HWMonitor and don't change after application quits and even after reboot. You have to turn the machine off to get the normal fan behavior. Thanks.
