Does not support route Metrics. #110

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Setup 2 OpenVPN servers with route metrics defined
2. Verify the setup works with a Windows server
3. TunnelBlick does not respect route metric assignments.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
It is expected that the network will route packets with respect to the route
metrics defined.

What version of Tunnelblick are you using? On what version of OS X? PPC or
Intel?
3.0b16 build 575 on 10.6 Intel.

Please provide any additional information below.

The serverA side of the short path:
push "route 192.168.25.0 255.255.255.0"

The serverB side of the longer path:
push "route 192.168.25.0 255.255.255.0 vpn_gateway 50"

When connecting to ServerB, traffic to 192.168.25.0/24 should be routed through
ServerB, but
when the connection comes up to ServerA, traffic should start flowing through
that route. When
ServerA drops, ServerB should take the traffic.

Thanks. Looks like an OpenVPN issue.

Please try Tunnelblick v. 3.0b14, which has OpenVPN v. 2.1_rc15 (Tunnelblick
3.0b16 has OpenVPN v. 2.1_rc19).
You can download it from
http://code.google.com/p/tunnelblick/downloads/list

Let us know if 3.0b14 works.

Tried it with b14, and it still does not add both routes to the routing table..

Disconnect from ServerB does not allow traffic to either networks.

Try the OpenVPN mailing lists, making sure you mention that it's an OS X client:
