xbox hangs on starting xot-uzg v3.2.0b2 #100

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Start xbox
2. Start xot-uzg v3.2.0b2 script

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected the full list of channels, instead i saw an empty background
from xot-uzg.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v3.2.0b2

Please provide any additional information below.
xbox version 1.4

I had this problem with xot-uzg v3.2.0b1 as well, never took the time to
make an issue.
Also tried the plugin, the list of channels does load and channel Net5 does
work. But it hangs on 'Opening request url' when I try to start channel
ned1, 2 or 3.

Also attached uzgplugin.log

I downloaded this one while the xbox still hangs on 'Opening request url'. So
the
last line of this log could be the problem for the plugin, altough I'm not
sure. The
log looks normal to me.

You don't happen to have a controller with a button/trigger stuck?

Not anymore! How stupid was that :S, I'm sorry :). Never realized that this
could be
the cause.

But the problem with the plugin remains, it still hangs on 'Opening request
url'. But
the problem only occurs with ned1,2,3 and rtl4,5,7,8

Does your XBMC.log or uzg.log show any information on network errors?

Original comment by basrie...@gmail.com on 24 Nov 2008 at 9:57

xbmc.log shows the error "CLocalizeStrings::ClearBlock: Trying to clear non
existent
block Q:\plugins\video\XOT-Uzg.v3\" a lot. I can't see what's wrong in
uzgplugin.log

Thanks for your help by the way

It seems to be opening OK. So I think there is a network problem on your Xbox.
The
opening of the URL is nothing special.

The error you pasted, is nothing to worry about. I just don't use the
settings.xml file.

Ok thanks, but if the xbox has network problems why does it only affects the
rtl &
nos channels. Shouldn't it affect the other channels and the xot-uzg script as
wel?

What kind of network problem could it be, I have DHCP enabled on the xbox and
it's
connected via a router to the internet.

Did you update the plugin (so not only the script version) to v3.2.0b2?

Yes I did :)

Is there a step I can take to solve this problem?
Every channel in the scripts works great, but I would love to use the plugin
version.

Try updating XBMC to a latest T3CH release.

Forgotten to respond, Sorry for that. By than I had the latest (8.10 final)
build.
Maybe the new svn build solved the problem, I will try that in the (near)
future. I'm
using the script version the most now, still works great for me!
