Loading streams on XBMC linux takes a long time #177

I´ve installed a very basic Linux distri of XBMC 9.11
I've installed the XOT plugin for the use of "uitzending gemist"

When I select a channel, let's say RTL4, next I select which program, and
as last I select which Chapter I would like to see from the program.

Loading the chapter takes at least 1-3 minutes before it starts playing
it.

When doing this in a Windows bases XBMX, it doesn't take that long.

Let me know if any debug logs are required.

I just saw in the release notes that this is a known issue, correct? I didn't
see it
in the list of bugs though

I assume you see a dialog box that says "caching" while waiting?

If so, it's the streaming in XBMC that is causing this. XOT can't help it. If
not,
please post your uzg.log file.

Nope, in Linux you don't see the caching dialog, in windows you do indeed. But
there
it doesn't take that long.

I'm now discussing another issue on the xbmc forum with you...let's focus on
that
one first, before getting a log file for this ticket ;)

But what about the comment in the release notes (long loading times in linux).
Still
relevant?

Cheers
Martijn
