Please be a bit more specific: is the plugin or the script not working?
And ATTACH a logfile of XOT (not XBMC)

This is kind of confusing. It's a script, but it's also a plugin that get
executed
from the scripts directory? Anyhow.... It crashes on my slightly modified
version of
the XBMC-Addons Installer (http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-favorites/) which uses
it's
own googlecode repo, so it seems. Just out of curiosity... The script seems to
scan
the plugins available, why? I'm trying to get some insight in how Python and
the XBMC
api works.
Logfile attached. I did a clean install of your fabulous plugin
(really.....fabulous,
thanks a whole bunch!). This is the only log file present and from a clean
installation of your script.

It's a script and a plugin at the same time. From the parameters passed on to
the
python file, it detects whether it should run as plugin or script.
Now in your case, it gets the wrong startup parameters and thus crashes.
Problem is
with http://code.google.com/p/xbmc-favorites/. But go over to their site: they
updated the package yesterday, because of problems with XOT :D

The xbmc-favorites page is 'my' page :) I didn't change the package because I
don't
know what is going wrong. The log I posted was generated when I had the script
installed as 'script'.
Now I've tried installing it as a plugin (which is a great option!) and the
script
runs, but won't load any of the channels.

Let me clearify: if you want to use XOT as both a script and plugin, you need to
install it twice! One in the video\plugins folder and one in the script folder.

I understand. Already did that. But it isn't working, in either of the
situations.

Well, checked it here. No problems. Try downloading XOT separately and see if it
works. If not, please post both logs (plugin and script) after running the
script and
plugin once.

Are there still problems? Or is everything working again?

Sorry for not responding on your previous post.
On my XBOX somehow they won't. But I've configured the XBOX of a friend of mine
exactly the same as mine, and there it works. Don't ask me why, I couldn't tell
you.
I think I'll have to do a fresh installation once again :)
Sorry for taking up your time and thanks for a fantastic plugin.
