this issue doesn't surprise me. i just looked into my task-manager. every 
second the
memory usage of TheLastRipper.exe increases about 16kB. There must be a memory
leakage... good luck on finding the code-line ;-)

i thought about my last comment as i clicked through the preferences... i set 
the
"save mode" to "buffer to memory..." :-)
But 40 MB for this little application is a bit too much i think...
