Have you plans to add playback functions? This is a great program and is
possible to replace the dead last-exit player project, the best of this is
the proxy settings, that the non us people can use last.fm radio.

Greetings!

actually a playback function is already there. But in Ubuntu 9.10 it doesn't
work
correctly.

You should be able to start it, when you type in your player (e.g. VLC) the URL
http://127.0.0.1:8000 (last number is the Port you have entered in the
settings; 8000
is default). The lastripper should transmit the played songs from last.fm to
your
localhost (the network-loopback in your comp) from where you should be able to
receive it again via your (vlc-)player. But at my case the lastripper stops the
bar
(and I suppose also downloading). Nothing is heard either.

LISTENING WORKS:-)
Hey, today everything works fine. (Was the problem yesterday only that I
changed the
port and didn't do in the call for the player?) Anyhow, today it's no problem
with
the url; as described above; once more an example with the mplayer
(commandline),
used in the terminal:

mplayer http://127.0.0.1:8000
<ctrl>+c to break

have fun ;-)

hm, O.K.; may you are widows-user and use a firewall. Then this may cause
trouble in
accessing the port 8000. Is this the case, you need to make an exception in the
firewall.
