Program seems to halt on "Tune in." #26

Closed GoogleCodeExporter closed 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Nothing more than selecting a station. and hitting "Tune in."

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expected to begin listening/recording, but the program just seems to
hang.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
I am running version 1.0.1 on XP.
Please provide any additional information below.
I included a screenshot of what happens. I don't hear anything, the
program doesn't record, and I can't change the station.

I think there's something wrong with the screenshot. Anyway TheLastRipper does
currently not play the music while recording. That feature might come sometime
in the
future...
But it should start to record, what URL did you enter ?
Make sure you don't have any firewall, perhaps windows firewall or zonealarm,
block
internet access for TheLastRipper...

I have the same issue with v1.0.1 on Windows Vista. It seems to be an
intermittent,
but reproducible problem. The program will start and get past the settings
page. Then
at the "ripping" page, clicking "Tune in" button will freeze the program.

on mac os x, at the same time (after pressing tune in), last ripper crashes
with the error `division by zero` on
console.

The issue on OS X with "division by zero" is not related to this, it's
described in
issue 14, an alpha release have been submitted to issue 14 too. But currently
no OS X
users have provided any feedback...

The windows issue, it probably similar to issue 24, I don't have a fix for that
yet,
but follow issue 24, and I'll post alpha's there when I think I have a patch...
(I
need testing since I can't reproduce the issue my self)

A new release of TheLastRipper is out, we've rewritten the streaming engine,
which
hopefully fixes this issue.
