Let's say you want to add a new material to Creality Print.
Launch Creality Print 4.0.2
Open the list of materials and notice the Add/Delete button.
Click Add / Delete
Issue 1: The Add / Delete dialog doesn't let you add or delete anything. It just lets you hide and show existing materials.
Ask around online and learn the actual method for adding a new material.
Choose an existing material and click the pencil icon to edit.
Modify the material settings.
Issue 2: At this point you want to "Save As" a new material, but there is no Save As button, only a Save button. The word "Save" indicates that the software will overwrite the existing material. That's not what you want to do, but you have to click that scary button to create a new material.
Issue 3: There is no way to change the name of a material in this dialog
Click Save (which doesn't save), type a new name, and finally you can save a new material.
Ideas to improve the UI:
Offer both a "Save" and "Save As" buttons in the material settings dialog.
Let the user duplicate an existing material, then edit the duplicate.
Offer a button that creates a new material, and then within the material settings dialog, offer the ability to load settings from an existing material.
