Slicing Freezes When Tree (auto) Support Selected #246

Printer: Creality CR-10SE OS: MacOS Sequoia (15.1.1) Creality Print: V5.1.6.10470 Model: Part of this Thing on Thingiverse (model file: beveledTray-cardSlope.stl)

How to reproduce:

  1. Import model
  2. Select model, then click "Support Painting" button on toolbar.
  3. Select "Enable support"
  4. Change "Type" to "Tree(auto)"
  5. Slice file - it will freeze (mine freezes at 64% every time)

You can eventually hit "Cancel", but it takes a moment, so it seems like it's some sort of an unexpected timeout/async code.

I can provide more info if needed. Thanks!

As an update - I think just slicing the model once without tree(auto) enabled may have unblocked things? I also watched a 2 minute video to actually learn how to paint supports, did some of that with my model and I've been able to slice since. Sent it to print and it came out great!
